We are Seeking

No experience in proposals or styling is necessary.

Essential Criteria - We are seeking someone with both:

• Events Experience (Essential) - You need to have worked in events before. We need people who can work to a strong pace (bumping in, styling, delivering events). Please only apply if you have worked in events before. Proposal events are tough. You need to be fit/active and ready to work hard.

• Photography (Essential) - Experience as a photographer. You have your own camera. You have been a photographer before. You can edit your own images.

• You have your own photography business or side hustle. (eg: aspiring to become a wedding or event photographer). You need your own work on the side to complement your work with us.

About the Role

• Every shift starts at Mountain Creek, on the Sunshine Coast. We go to the warehouse to pack the van
• We drive to and bump in at the location. Locations include Sunshine Coast, Brisbane and Gold Coast.
• We style the romantic proposal setting. Your role will be as an assistant. The senior team member will lead the styling/event process.
• Couple arrives and we capture the proposal moment with photography (your camera) and video (on your phone)
• We have a fun couples proposal photoshoot.
• After the experience concludes, we pack up, drive back and unload the van.
• You edit the photos as extra time on your shift, guidance, delivery timelines and time allowance explained in training

No Experience in styling is required

• We are seeking people with a good eye willing to be taught how to create our proposal experience
• Gender is irrelevant. We have people of all genders on our team.
• You will start as an event assistant, trained and supported by a senior team member
• With training and support, you will be expected to learn to deliver small proposals by yourself

About the Role

The role will be based on the Sunshine Coast. Need to live on the Sunshine (to pack the van). We travel to SC, Brisbane and Gold Coast.

This type of work is perfect for an emerging photographer. You will spend active time capturing clients, perfect to refine your skills, knowledge and experience. We are also supportive in connecting you with clients to get into weddings, couples photography etc.

We are a family-owned business. We need someone keen to get into the hard work of events, is trustworthy, can get creative and works hard to produce magical experiences.

The role is a casual position, it may be any day of the week (pending your availability). It works perfectly when you have your own work/brand you are developing, as well as other casual work you may do. You would need your own work to complement it.

BYO photography skills, equipment and experience are expected

All training in delivering proposals is provided on the job, no experience required.

The role is a casual position.

• Starting training phase rate $30 p/h
• Increases to $35 p/h + super for entry-level event assistant.
• Increased rate of pay for solo proposals
• Increased rate of pay for more experience/capability.

Events typically commence setting up during the afternoon. Many proposals occur at sunset. Pack up occurs at night. Often late finishes.

Qualifications & experience

• Required: Photography Experience, owns own camera/equipment
• Required: Event Experience (no specific type of events)
• Required: You have your own, or trying to start your own photography business / side hustle
• Required: Drivers license, willing to drive an iload van
• No formal event or styling experience required

Tasks & responsibilities

• Event set up and pack up (including carrying boxes/equipment, pushing heavy trolleys, etc)
• Styling and event coordination (taught on the job, no experience required) Note: We believe photographers have a good eye for this type of work.
• Capturing the moment (photos)
• Taking videos on your phone
• Client interaction
• Working to time frames, working in a team, working under pressure
• Driving van
