Zest Photography is one of Perth's leading portrait photography studios, specialising in creating powerful, transformative experiences that change the way people see and feel about themselves. Founded by Master Photographer Gary Levy (AIPP), our studio has photographed over 3,000 portraits, helping clients discover their inner strength and beauty through artistic, contemporary photography.

The Role

We're seeking a dynamic portrait photographer to join our award-winning team. This is more than just a photography position - it's an opportunity to make a real difference in people's lives through the power of visual storytelling and personal connection.

The role is a casual role (20hrs+/wk) working 4 days per week (with opportunity for growth) in our modern Perth studio, you'll be involved in all aspects of the client journey, from initial consultation through to final artwork design. You'll begin by assisting our photography team and learning Zest Photography’s unique style and overtime photograph up to 4 sessions daily, primarily focusing on glamour photography (80%), with couples and family portraits comprising the remaining sessions.

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting our photography team downloading, culling and preparing images for design consultations.
• Creating uplifting and empowering experiences for clients through photography.
• Conducting professional portrait sessions for women, couples, and families.
• Building meaningful relationships with clients through discovery conversations.
• Using studio management software to maintain client relationships.
• Contributing to a positive, creative studio environment.

Essential Experience & Qualities

• Minimum 1 years' professional studio photography experience.
• Proven expertise photographing people (particularly women).
• Portfolio demonstrating high-level portrait photography skills.
• Experience working with both adults and children.
• Excellence in building rapport and emotional connection.
• High level of organisation and time management.
• Natural curiosity and ability to ask meaningful questions.
• Resilience and ability to work under pressure.
• Passion for personal growth and development.
