About the role

We are looking for a multi-talented Deli Manager to be the driving force behind our newest concept - Amalfi Fresh Pasta. As the venue will be split into two areas - a deli at the front from which we will be serving freshly made pasta and sauces for customers to take home and cook; and a pasta bar from the back with seating for approximately 60, the Deli Manager will need to have flexibility to switch hats effortlessly.
You will be working hand in hand with the head chef to ensure a seamless experience and product for customers.

What you'll be doing

• Managing and leading a team of deli counter staff to deliver outstanding customer experiences
• Supporting and guiding staff in pasta bar to ensure smooth service
• Overseeing the preparation, presentation and sale of a wide range of pasta, sauces and other Italian delicacies
• Driving sales and profitability through effective inventory management, product ordering and promotions
• Ensuring strict compliance with all relevant food safety and hygiene regulations
• Fostering a positive and collaborative team culture
• Continuously identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, productivity and customer satisfaction

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a Deli Manager or in a similar leadership role within the hospitality or retail sectors
• Excellent customer service skills and a genuine passion for delivering high-quality food and experiences
• Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to analyse data and make data-driven decisions
• Exceptional people management and team-building skills
• A keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene
• Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including weekends and public holidays

We will be located in the new Market Pavilion opening March 27th - Chadstone's take on the famed market culture of Melbourne.
