We currently have an opportunity for a Facilities Coordinator - Assets to join our Infrastructure and Liveability Department.

In the role of Facilities Coordinator – Assets, you will:

  • Lead the management of Council owned and maintained buildings and facilities
  • Develop and manage proactive scheduled maintenance programs and assist in coordinating reactive requirements for buildings and facilities
  • Provide expertise and innovation in the long-term asset management of all aspects of Council buildings and facilities
  • Play a part in supporting the long-term sustainability and optimisation of community resources.

What we offer...

  • Permanent full-time role, 35 hours per week
  • Commencing annual salary from $92,756 to $102,263
    (salary is dependent on qualifications, skills and experience)
  • Progressive annual salary to $112,745
  • Plus 11.5 % superannuation
  • A mobile phone for operational use
  • Accrued flex time allowing up to two days off each month.

What you'll need to be successful in the role...

  • Tertiary qualifications in Asset Management, Facilities Management, Business Administration, Building or a related field
  • A minimum Class C Driver’s Licence
  • Experience in building and facility management and ability to prepare, analyse and manage budgets
  • The ability to plan, prioritise and time manage work activities, to meet strict deadlines
  • The ability to manage contractors and procurement processes including developing contracts and requests for quotations
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate records
  • Attention to safe work practices, procedures and legislative requirements
  • Competence with a range of programs including MS Office suite and asset management systems.
