About Flinders Rural and Remote Health NT
At Flinders Rural and Remote Health NT, our aim is to be a hub for innovative health research, education, and workforce development across the Northern Territory. We engage with students, community, and stakeholders to provide critical programs, such as the Northern Territory Medical Program, Paramedicine, Rural Clinical School, the University Department of Rural Health and the NT Regional Training Hub.

Our postgraduate education pathways (Remote Health Practice program), provides workforce development through Indigenous health and clinical skills training, and we have a community driven research program led by researchers committed to improving health outcomes. We work alongside Poche SA+NT focussing on Indigenous leadership capacity development and developing the Indigenous health workforce. All activities are driven by our values which focus on the long-term and short-term needs of the NT community.

About the Role
The Program Coordinator role is a vital part of the Flinders Rural and Remote Health NT Regional Training Hub (FRRHNT RTH) team, offering an exciting opportunity to contribute to impactful health initiatives. This position provides a great deal of autonomy while ensuring support and guidance from your supervisor, as you collaborate closely with the Program Manager and Medical Director. You will take charge of coordinating the administrative functions and seamless execution of the Regional Training Hub's programs, overseeing daily business operations, managing projects, and fostering key partnerships that drive success.

About You
To be successful in this role you will exhibit:

  • A relevant degree and hands-on experience, or a combination of equivalent education and training with practical experience.
  • Experience in project administration, planning, program implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and quality assurance, with a passion for delivering results.
  • Strong analytical and writing skills, with the ability to interpret and apply policies and procedures, create clear executive reports, and bring expertise in marketing and communications.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, fostering collaboration and teamwork.
  • Highly organised, with the ability to multitask, prioritise, and meet deadlines, while comfortably working both independently and as part of a dynamic team.
  • A demonstrated understanding and cultural sensitivity toward Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, with an awareness of the impact of social determinants of health in the Northern Territory context.
