The Opportunity
An opportunity for a Coordinator Finance has arisen within the Shire of Murray's Finance and Accounting team. This role will provide a unique and interesting prospect for finance professionals searching for a diverse and rewarding career.
Reporting to the Manager Finance, you will be responsible in assisting with general finance functions and maintaining the Shire's revenue and expense systems and procedures. This will include being responsible for the accurate financial recording of all Shire expenses and revenue into the Shire's Financial Systems, and processing of all taxation returns, revenue, expense and balance sheet reconciliations as well as the Shire's insurance cover.
This is a full-time position working 76 hours across a nine-day fortnight with a salary range of $94,425.58 to $99,226.61 per annum at EBA level 8, depending on the successful candidate's skills, knowledge, and experience.

About You: We want to hear from you if you have:
- Tertiary qualifications in in Accounting/administrative and/or considerable experience in a similar position.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the operations and obligations of Local Government practices and procedures.
- Excellent communication, numeracy, and accuracy skills.
- Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to correctly interpret and comprehend the Local Government Act and associated legislation.
- Ability to work autonomously under the guidance of the Manager Finance
