About the role

Guardian Safety Solutions Pty Ltd is seeking a full-time Electrical Fire Technician to join our team in Canberra, ACT. As an Electrical Fire Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and compliance of fire protection systems across a variety of commercial and industrial sites. This is an exciting opportunity to work for a leading provider of fire safety solutions and contribute to the wellbeing of our local community.

What you'll be doing

• Perform routine maintenance, testing and repairs on a range of fire protection equipment, including fire alarms, emergency lighting, and fire extinguishers
• Respond to emergency callouts and troubleshoot faults to quickly restore fire safety systems
• Maintain detailed records and documentation of all work carried out
• Liaise with clients to provide updates and recommendations on fire safety compliance
• Support the installation of new fire protection systems as required
• Ensure all work is completed in compliance with relevant Australian Standards and regulations
• Regular Regional and Interstate Travel will be required

What we're looking for

• Qualified electrician with a current Australian Electrician's Licence
• Fire protection industry experience, with a strong understanding of fire safety systems and regulations
• Excellent problem-solving and fault-finding skills
• Strong time management and organisational abilities
• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients
• A positive, safety-focused attitude and a commitment to continuous improvement
