In collaboration with the Queensland State Government, Emanate Technology is looking for a Strategy & Planning Analyst to join our State Government client based in Brisbane CBD on a contract until 30 June 2025.

What you’ll be doing

• Scoping whole-of-government strategy, policy, and planning documents.
• Developing a tool (MS Excel or other) to map strategic actions.
• Conducting analysis on enterprise plans to identify gaps.
• Supporting business and divisional planning and risk mapping.
• Providing expert advice to senior leadership on policy and planning.
• Mapping current and future state relationships between strategies, plans, and policies.

What you need to bring

• Proven experience within a large and complex public sector organisation.
• Understanding of enterprise planning within Government.
• Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Proven ability to work independently, under broad direction, and against established priorities, practices, and methodologies to deliver quality outcomes.

Bonus points for…

• Experience in strategy, policy, and planning analysis within government or corporate environments.
• Strong data analysis and visualisation skills using MS Excel or similar tools.
• Proven ability to assess enterprise-wide strategic actions for gaps and alignment.
• Excellent problem-solving, critical-thinking, and communication skills.
• Experience in policy development and framework design.
