We are looking for an experienced Cook to join our growing team at Café HQ

Location: High Wycombe, WA 6057

Position: Full time

Salary: $70,000 - $75,000 plus superannuation

About the role:

• Setting up workstations with all needed ingredients and kitchen tools
• Preparing and cooking of dishes in the menu
• Following recipes and cooking techniques to meet the restaurant standards
• While preparing food, ensure to meet the special dietary requirements
• Storing food with the correct temperature including excess food to avoid spoilage.
• Checking food while cooking to stir or turn and season to adjust taste
• Regulating and cooking in different kitchen equipment like grill, oven and other cooking equipment
• Ensuring that food portions and food presentation meet restaurant standards
• Keeping safety and sanitation standards in the kitchen.
• Creating new recipes in consultation with the management to keep the menu fresh.
• Train kitchen staff whenever necessary

The person we are looking for must have:

• At least Certificate III in commercial cookery
• At least 2 years of relevant work experience
• Sound knowledge of cooking methods and techniques
• Ability to follow recipes and strictly follow the dietary requirements
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Ability to maintain quality under pressure during busy hours
