About the Role

Our client, Bundaberg RSL, is seeking two Assistant Managers to support the Operations Manager in overseeing daily venue operations. This role plays a key part in ensuring high service standards, compliance, and operational efficiency while leading staff, optimising business performance, and fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment for members, guests, and employees.

Who You Will Be Working For:

Established in 1919, The Bundaberg RSL has been dedicated to supporting current and former Australian Defence Force members and their families for over a century. Key Responsibilities:

🔹 Assist in managing daily venue operations across all departments.
🔹 Support recruitment, training, and supervision of staff to ensure a high-performing team.
🔹 Maintain high service standards, address guest inquiries professionally, and enhance overall satisfaction.
🔹 Ensure compliance with liquor licensing, food safety, WH&S, and regulatory requirements.
🔹 Assist with cash handling, reconciliation, and stock control to support budget management.
🔹 Support RSL events, commemorations, and community initiatives.
🔹 Help drive engagement through promotional campaigns and member initiatives.
🔹 Liaise with suppliers to ensure seamless operations and quality service delivery.

What They Are Looking For:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a hospitality leadership role
  • RMLV, RSA, and RSG certifications (or willingness to obtain)
  • Knowledge of OLGR, Food Safety, and WH&S regulations
  • First Aid & CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Proven leadership and people management skills
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Availability to work a 7-day rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays
