We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager to provide management support to the site managers and onsite employees at this unique tourist venue in the Northern Territory, working together as a team to ensure the successful operation of the property.
You will receive excellent support and guidance in this role from the onsite managers.
You must be able to roll up your sleeves and enjoy the challenges that arise in outback locations and if you enjoy a role with variety, dirt on your boots, donning an Akubra and wearing a smile for every mile, you will fit right in with this team.

The property located in the Red Centre offers a relaxed lifestyle outside of work with plenty of places to explore on days off, star filled skies and spectacular outback sunsets.
The property features onsite Accommodation, Retail Outlet, Camp Grounds, Bistro / Cafe and Tour Operations.
Package:
Fulltime Position
- $78,500 per annum

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the complete day to day management of the property in a hands-on capacity, assist in overseeing all areas including bar, shop, accommodation, fuel, caravan Park, restaurant, kitchen and grounds
- Assist with staff Training, supervision and rostering of on-site staff
- Provide mentoring and support and provide safe working conditions for onsite staff
- Assist with accommodation management, bookings, arrivals and departures and general guest inquiries
- Assist with management of stock in conjunction with site managers including stock control, stock ordering, freight logistics and regular stock takes
- Assist with all aspects of the retail section of the venue, stock displays, merchandise presentation etc
- Cash handling including counting and balancing of tills, float and safe counts, banking processes
- Processing of time sheets and invoices through to accounts office in the absence of the site managers
- Monitoring of budgets for cost control, wastage and wage costs in the absence of the site managers
- Monitoring of fuel, fuel dips, fuel ordering, safety procedures etc
- Monitoring of the power generators, desalinated water plants etc in conjunction with the Maintenance Manager
- Adhering to liquor licensing regulations
- Liaise with local suppliers, police, liquor licensing and communities in the absence of the site managers
- Offer excellence in customer service to guests / patrons and address onsite complaints as required
- Liaise and work with external support staff including accounts, administration, marketing manager, retail manager and head of food & beverage operations in the absence of the site manager
- Cover the site managers days off and assist the reserve managers during the site managers annual leave
- Hands on work across all departments
- Other directions as per the site managers
Preferred Experience:
- Hold previous experience in a similar role
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Be able to handle living and working in a remote location
- Have excellent problem solving abilities and be able to think outside the box in unique situations
Role Requirements:
- Must hold or be able to obtain and RSA
- Must hold or be able to obtain a Food Handlers Certificate
- Hold a current Manual Drivers License
- Obtain a National Police Clearance
- Ideally hold or be willing to obtain a Forklift Ticket
- Hold or be willing to obtain a Senior First Aid Certificate
Work available onsite for a partner if relocating as a couple.
