Your new company

Our public sector client requires an Asset Investment Planner to join their team as soon as possible for a 16-month temporary engagement with extension possibilities. This position is located south of Perth CBD near public transport and parking. This is a temporary contract with the expectation of working 40 hours per week. The role will be working within the Asset Management, Strategy & Planning team. The role will be responsible for the development and delivery of short, medium, and long-term asset investment plans, including maintenance and capital investments of up to $100m in value.

Your new role

The responsibilities of this role will consist of:

• Develop and deliver asset investment plans that incorporate customer requirements in all decisions.
  
• Prepare and oversee asset investment planning and delivery.
  
• Monitor, report, and manage changes in asset investment plan delivery.
  
• Evaluate and appraise asset investment options using whole life costing principles and financial modelling for all asset classes.
  
• Initiate requests for capital investment projects.
  
• Develop business cases for asset investment.
  
• Collaborate with the Strategy, Planning, and Performance Division in asset investment planning.
  

What you'll need to succeed

Qualifications:

• Desirable: Tertiary qualification in engineering or a commercial discipline.
  

Experience:

• Business case and financial model development, and asset investment proposals.
  
• Desirable: Experience with Oracle Maintenance Cloud and other Oracle systems.
  
• Desirable: Experience with infrastructure
  

Knowledge:

• Financial principles, including discounted cash flow analysis, project valuation, accounting principles, and discount rate determination methods.
  
• Numerical modelling, including its use for developing demand, operational, and financial models.
  
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft BI, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint software.
