We are seeking a passionate and experienced Lecturer with expertise and leadership in promoting workplace health, safety, and environmental sustainability to join the School of Medical and Health Sciences. The successful candidate will play a key role in educating and inspiring the next generation of occupational health and safety professionals to support the safe work environments and be future leaders in worksite safety in Australia.
The role requires expertise in health, safety and environmental regulations and compliance, risk assessment, risk monitoring and application of critical controls, implementation of safety and environmental programs, and promotion of a culture of safety and sustainability within a range of organisations and contexts. Specialisations in mining, construction, agriculture or emergency response will be an advantage. This position offers an exciting opportunity to teach in leading nationally and internationally accredited courses in Australian and work within a world class research environment within the MARS (Mental Health, Respect and Safety) Centre and deliver impactful research in OHS and HSE in Australia.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality lectures and practical sessions in occupational health and safety and environment at undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
- Develop and deliver course materials to reflect current industry standards and research, using contemporary educational approaches and technologies including flexible online delivery for adult learners.
- Mentor and support students in their academic and professional development.
- Conduct and publish original research in the field of occupational health and safety and environment in a range of contexts including mining, construction, agriculture and emergency response .
- Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary projects and initiatives.
- Participate in community outreach and engagement activities.

Benefits & Remuneration
This full time, ongoing position attracts remuneration of $113,918 to $134,596 plus 17% University superannuation contribution.
