My client is one of Australias largest suppliers of Civil and Construction hire equipment and products. The company is strategically placed nationally and works alongside the Tier 1 and 2 major builders within the industry. The company has experienced year on year growth and with recent events, they are poised to start growing even further then they have.
Due to an internal promotion, a key position has become available within the Brisbane team.
The Role
The role of Propping Manager is a vital and diverse position requiring a confident individual who can lead a team of installers by example.
This role is broken down into 2 separate components. The first component is the operational side. In this role you will look after a team of 6 installers and be on site making sure the installation and project is running smoothly for the clients. You will not be hands on doing the installations, this will be more project management. You will also be liaising with your clients to make sure everything is running smoothly and all WHS standards are being followed.
The second component to this role will be focused on sales. This is not direct sales where you will be out hunting new business. This role will involve you partnering with the sales team to grow the pipeline of work for your division or liaising with clients whilst on site to supply other equipment they need. You will be focused on continuing the pipeline for your division and making sure your team of installers have continuous work.
About You
The ideal person will be someone who comes from a construction background either within sales, hire or project management and is experienced dealing with major tier 1 and tier 2 builders. You will have sound understanding of safety measures on a construction site and be confident and able to lead a team by example. You will understand the different propping equipment and their application within a construction project and be able to identify key decision makers to grow new business.
This role is a hybrid role that has time mixed between being out on site as well as time in the office. This is a Monday to Friday position and there is no set time between site work and office work. It will all be down to the current activity.
On Offer
This role is a vital position and can also lead to more senior roles. The company is providing the following.
- Base salary $110k - $130k
- Super at 11.5%
- Fully Maintained Company Car
- Bonus Structure
