The newly named Saint College currently St Joseph’s offers an inclusive and non-discriminating learning community to young people, who for a variety of reasons, make the choice to attend a specialised learning environment. Saint College operates across multiple campuses, located in Melbourne, Geelong, Colac, Ballarat, and a dual engagement virtual learning campus, BlendED. The young people who attend have typically experienced one or more significant and complex educational, social, developmental, psychological, health, legal or familial situations which demand unique responses. Such interventions are embedded within the Operation By Principles framework, which combine education with an understanding of trauma-informed practice.

Join Our Team as a P&C Systems, Reporting, and Capability Officer!

Your focus:

  • Oversee and manage P&C systems, ensuring they are effectively implemented and maintained to support HR functions
  • Identify opportunities for system improvements and automation to enhance efficiency and accuracy in HR processes.
  • Design, develop, and maintain P&C reports and dashboards that provide actionable insights into workforce trends, employee performance, engagement, and other key metrics.
  • Analyse data to identify trends, make recommendations, and drive data-driven decision-making within the P&C function.
  • Build the capability of the P&C team through training programs on system tools, data analysis, and reporting techniques.
  • Lead initiatives to improve system-related processes, ensuring they meet the needs of the organization while maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Communicate insights from data and reports to leadership, providing clear and actionable recommendations.
  • Ensure the smooth operation and optimization of P&C systems.
  • Provide comprehensive, accurate, and timely reports to support strategic decisions.
  • Lead or support change management efforts to ensure smooth adoption of new
    processes, technologies, and initiatives.

Your skills and talents:

  • Be able and willing to uphold and role model the schools’ principles of operation of

  • High level computer literacy and proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications.
  • Proven initiative, organisational and problem-solving skills with the ability to operate
    independently or within a team environment to lead and deliver on timelines.
  • Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with key stakeholders and
    utilise data to tell a compelling story.
  • Experience in developing and maintaining administrative processes which support efficient and compliant operations.
  • Ability to work effectively as a member of a multi-disciplinary team and build quality
    working relationships.
  • Ability to keep confidentiality and not disclose information between members of
    staff, young people and the school community.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional learning for self and others to enable further
    development of skills, expertise and teaching capacity
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and timelines effectively, ensuring successful
    execution of P&C initiatives.
  • Ability and willingness to travel to school sites and attend professional development
    as required.

The Role

This role is a full -time 1.0FTE ongoing position, our Fitzroy North office, working both in the office and from home, with travel to school sites.

You will be employed on an ongoing basis, commencing in February 2025, and will be employed under the Catholic Education Multi Enterprise Agreement 2022. The salary will be in the range of Education Support Employee Level 4 $92.951 to $105,876 (depending on qualifications and experience), plus superannuation and leave loading.

You will need:

  • Ability to commit to and work within our Operating Principles; Respect, Participation, Safe and Legal and Honesty.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Business Analytics or related field
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role.
  • The ability to inspire and engage with young people.
  • Previous experience in the education sector is highly desirable.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Victorian Working with Children Check and provide a National Police Check certificate (issued within the last six months).
