The Goldfish Bar & Restaurant are seeking an experienced and talented Sous Chef to join our staff on a full-time basis, working with our team to bring new and exciting ideas to the table!
Duties & responsibilities:
- Serve food of the highest quality in both taste and presentation
- Creative development of menus and pricing
- Collaborate as an active member of the team, leading by example and nurturing a positive working environment
- Ordering of stock and maintenance of equipment
- Training & mentorship of junior staff
- Sign off on all areas of sanitation and safety compliance
Experience & attributes:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role
- An understanding of KPIs, food costs, and budgets
- Experience planning innovative menus
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Ability to identify opportunities to improve the standard of our clientele’s dining experience
- People management skills & ability to coach a team for success
- A cool head under pressure
- Excellent team working skills
