About the Role

This casual Senior Medical Receptionist ("Senior Human Care Liaison") role at Human Care GP is an outstanding opportunity to join our dedicated team in our newlyestablished Kent Town practice. As a key member of the Administration team, you will play a vital part in delivering exceptional customer service and efficient medical administration support to patients and clinicians. The opportunity to progress to full-time/permanent part-time and/or a management role in our growing business is available for the right candidate.

Human Care GP is a newly established medical practice (July 2024), in a convenient central location, focused on providing exceptional patient care in a warm and professional environment. Our well-established team of 2 General Practitioners and Registered Nurse support provide high-quality primary healthcare services to a broad range of long-term patients from across Adelaide. Our mission is to deliver compassionate, personalised care that improves the health and wellbeing of our patients. We pride ourselves on our collaborative, patient-centric approach, and our commitment to clinical excellence. We have recently completed accreditation and are ready to continue to develop and grow our healthcare service.

What you'll be doing

• As the first point of contact for our patients, your cheerful and professional manner makes you a key member of the team, being the welcoming face and voice of our practice
• Scheduling appointments, managing patient records and handling patient enquiries
• Assisting with medical billing and accounts management
• Providing administrative support to the clinical team as required
• Ensuring compliance with relevant medical administration standards and regulations

What we're looking for

• Minimum 2 years' experience in a medical receptionist or similar administrative role within the healthcare industry
• Regular availability for minimum 30 hours per week, with flexibility to work over 4 or 5 days per week, between Monday - Saturday (Saturday work by choice only)
• Excellent customer service skills and a friendly, empathetic approach when interacting with patients
• Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate documentation and ensure patient confidentiality
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with the clinical team, external health care providers, and our patients and their families
• A team player with the ability to work autonomously and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Proficient in using medical administration and billing software (Best Practice and HotDoc experience preferred) and programs in the MS Office/365 suite
• Availability to either start at 8am or work afternoon/evenings until 6.30-7.30pm is preferred
• Flexibility to cover for planned and unplanned leave
• Hold an up-to-date BLS (CPR) certification, Police Check, Working with Children Check or be willing to obtain upon employment
