About the Opportunity
As part of the City Culture Program, this exciting role focuses on managing the Community Impact Grants program while supporting other grant and sponsorship initiatives. The Coordinator, Community Planning and Grants plays a key role in strengthening community connections by leading community planning processes and delivering strategic partnerships that enhance community capacity and impact.
You will oversee the coordination of Council’s grants and sponsorship programs, ensuring consistent processes and a seamless experience for grant applicants. You will assess grant applications against key priorities such as community participation, social inclusion, reconciliation, neighbourhood connections, and creating a welcoming city. By building strong relationships with external stakeholders, you’ll foster innovative partnerships and projects that align with Council’s strategic goals and community wellbeing priorities.
Additionally, you’ll provide expert advice on social trends and community needs, contributing to strategic planning and policy development. With a focus on continuous improvement, you’ll manage data, reporting, and training to ensure the effective delivery of the grants lifecycle. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on Adelaide’s vibrant community while helping local organisations thrive.
About You
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Knowledge of social research and community planning, policy development, monitoring government policy, and analysing data.
- Extensive experience in complex administrative tasks using various technologies.
- Experience working alongside organisations to build community capacity.
- Experience in analysing quantitative data to inform project delivery and evaluation.
- Sound knowledge of community engagement principles and their application.
- Knowledge of social policy and social wellbeing principles and their application.
