Position Description

Reporting into the Payroll Systems Manager, your main tasks will include:

• Running the final pay and ensuring all payments made are in accordance with the terms and conditions of industrial instruments and statutory obligations.
• First point of contact for any payroll and SAP system queries
• Requirement gathering and system testing in SAP
• Work to standardize and define payroll processes, structures, and procedures
• Responsible for documenting requirements, implementing, testing payroll changes and enhancements
• Liaise with key stakeholders to determine business requirements
• Work as part of a Team and communicate effectively to ensure all systems are aligned to business needs
• Ensure that payroll-related reporting, compliance, legislative, and internal policy requirements are met
• Analyse pay processing issues, troubleshoot pay-related systems issues, and make recommendations for improvements
• Create and maintain procedure documentation pertaining to processes specific to the job function.
• Ensure with Finance that the reconciliation of payroll results is complete and accurate.

Candidate Profile

The successful candidate will possess the following attributes:

• In-depth knowledge of SAP Payroll is essential for the role
• High level of business and commercial acumen
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Understanding of the impact of payroll and links to the financial and other systems
• Knowledge and understanding of Awards, EBA’s & Legislation
• Ability to communicate with a wide range of stakeholders
