About the Position
We are currently looking for a new member to join our People & Safety team, with their time split across Brendale and Wakerley depending on which is more convenient. The role will be responsible for end to end payroll management across the business utilising our HR and Payroll management systems. The position reports into the Head of People & Safety and works alongside the Production Manager and Construction Manager. The successful candidate will play pivotal role in ensuring the smooth of operation of our Payroll and HR functions.
Payroll Manager:
- Execute payroll activities for all employees across two entities, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Maintain accurate records utilising our payroll and HRM system, Employment Hero.
- Assist in maintaining employee payroll records, including new hires, terminations, and changes in employment status.
- Assist with talent acquisition process coordination and administration.
- Maintain employee records and ensure data accuracy in HR systems.
- Respond to employee and manager payroll-related inquiries.
- Reconciliation, calculation and remittance of payroll related Tax and Superannuation obligations.
- Calculation of Intercompany payroll charges and reconciliation.
- BAS preparation/lodgement and bank reconciliations for two payroll entities.
- EOY payroll reconciliations and audit liaison.

Education, Skills & Experience:
The following education, skills, and experience are highly desired. However, if you possess transferable skills and a strong willingness to learn, we encourage you to apply, and we can discuss how your background may be a fit.
- 5 years of experience in payroll processing/management.
- Proficiency with Employment Hero or comparable (Human Resource Information Systems) and payroll software.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations in Australia & New Zealand.
- Demonstrated experience in managing and executing payroll processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Proficiency in handling HR administrative tasks, including employee records management, benefits administration, and onboarding processes.
- Strong ability to meticulously review and verify data, ensuring precision in payroll calculations and HR documentation.
- Exposure / Experience with Quality Management Systems ISO 9001:2015 or similar
- Is flexible and adaptable to changing circumstances and role requirements
