We're looking for strategic thinkers to join our team and help shape the future for the NSW resources industry. These roles offer career growth and the chance to contribute to meaningful work with far-reaching impact across the NSW Government. Focus areas will include critical minerals, the economic contribution of the resources sector and the net zero transition.

As a strategy and policy professional within NSW Resources you’ll play a crucial role in supporting the formulation of project and policy proposals, working across government to develop innovative, evidence-based solutions to complex problems, and providing insights and analysis.

The types of roles we currently have available include:

  • Senior Analyst Strategy & Insights
  • Senior Policy Officer
  • Manager Strategy & Insights
  • Manager Policy

To be successful you’ll be:

  • Proactive and motivated: A self-starter who can take initiative, think ahead and able to contribute to, lead or manage projects.
  • Strong communicator: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of translating complex information into plain English for executive and Ministerial audiences.
  • Flexible and adaptable: Open to pivot and change as needed, comfortable with ambiguity, and keen to explore new ideas and solutions.
  • Curious: An understanding of the broader strategic context we operate in, a keen interest in keeping across global and national developments, and able to consider its impact for NSW.
  • Familiar with Government processes: Understanding of regulations, legislation, policy and Cabinet processes is a plus.
