Happy Valley Brewing Co is an independently owned micro-brewery based at Stafford.

Our team is passionate about brewing great beer and we’re not afraid to get creative about it! Although we’re only a young brewery, our beers have already collected multiple awards since opening in August 2020.

We are looking for an innovative and experienced Head Brewer to join our team and help us continue to grow our business.

An immediate start is available for the right candidate.

We are a small, tightly knit, hands-on team and the successful candidate will join us in covering a variety of tasks, including but not limited to:

• Manage production of our 5hL brewhouse
• Producing our core product range as well as designing new and exciting beers to be a part of our “small batch” range on appropriate brewing schedules
• Managing inventory, including end of month stocktakes
• Key responsibility for daily brewing operations (goods handling, wort production, fermentation, quality management, ordering, reporting, & maintenance)
• Ensure commitment to quality, documentation and record keeping
• Manage canning operations in conjunction with Venue Manager
• Ongoing reporting of key brewery metrics to ensure alignment with KPIs and forecasts
• Managing a small team of an Assistant Brewer
• Liaising with customers, suppliers, and on-site hospitality team members
• Periodically attend industry meetings and events to promote and showcase our products

Our ideal candidates will be able to demonstrate:

• Relevant qualifications in brewing
• Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in brewing with knowledge of recipe development (Senior or Head Brewer desirable)
• Canning line experience essential
• Self-motivation and ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile, and growing small business environment (willingness to wear many hats)
• High level of professionalism and integrity
• Strong social and communication skills
