District Council of Ceduna is seeking an organised and detail-oriented person to oversee the coordination of Council’s physical and electronic records. This role is essential in ensuring compliance with the State Records Act 1997 and supporting efficient record-keeping practices.
Key Responsibilities for the role include:
- Manage Council’s physical and electronic records systems in compliance with the State Records Act 1997
- Maintain and update Council’s legal records database
- Oversee the daily management of physical and electronic correspondence into Council
- Ensure records are accurately classified, stored, retrieved, and archived in accordance with policies and procedures
- Provide advice and support to staff on records management practices
- Perform general administrative duties to support Council operations
Prior knowledge of records management is not essential—appropriate training and ongoing support will be provided to the right candidate.
This is an ongoing full-time position with a full time equivalent salary range of $67,507.91 – $73,315.79 + statutory superannuation (dependant on qualifications and or experience), noting Council may consider a flexible working arrangement to secure the right person.
