About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Team Supervisor for Personal Assistants to lead a dynamic team of support workers, contractors, and service providers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care to an individual living with disability. This is a permanent part-time role, offering a minimum of 12 hours per week with the possibility of up to 27 hours per week depending on the needs of the team and coverage for staff leave.
As the Team Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing a team that provides support aligned with the individual’s goals and care needs. This includes supervising the day-to-day operations, coordinating schedules, and ensuring the person’s well-being and goals are met in line with their Individual Support Plan. The role also involves hands-on support, where you may be required to provide direct personal assistance and manage key administrative and practical tasks.
About the Person living with disability
A young minded and physically fit woman in her early 70s. She is very positive and loves being in nature, people, parties, shopping, art, crafts, music and sports. She has lived with disability for many decades and requires support with memory related tasks and to organise and facilitate the activities she enjoys. Personal care is required, mostly in setting up or reminding of what is to be done. She lives in her own home with assistance from her NDIS/DSOA support team, aged care team and her family.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Supervision: Lead and support a team of Personal Assistants (Support Workers), Service Providers, and Contractors, ensuring high-quality care tailored to the individual’s needs.
- Roster & Shift Management: Prepare and manage weekly rosters, ensuring adequate staff coverage and leave management.
- Personal Care & Support: Oversee the development and maintenance of personal care schedules and ensure timely, appropriate assistance.
- Staff Coverage & Employee Transition: Manage shift coverage and assist with transitioning casual staff to permanent roles as needed.
- Recruitment & Hiring: Work closely with family delegates to recruit and onboard new staff aligned with the individual’s needs.
- Collaboration & Liaison: Work with external providers (e.g., Aged Care Provider) to ensure all care requirements are met.
- Creative Engagement: Support the individual in creative and recreational activities based on their interests, including art, music, and nature.
- Team Building & Development: Organise regular team meetings, celebrations, reviews and professional development opportunities.
Additional Responsibilities
- Digital file and archive management, ensuring artwork, photos, and videos are well-organised.
- Maintaining a clean and safe living environment through effective cleaning schedules.
- Engage in regular 1:1 staff reviews and feedback sessions.
- Manage consumable inventory and ensure required items are always available.
Key Requirements
- NDIS Orientation Module Certificate
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Own vehicle and valid driver’s licence
- First aid certificate is , desirable.
Experience & Skills
- Proven experience in team supervision, preferably in the disability support or personal care sector
- Strong organisational and rostering skills
- Experience with digital tools such as Google Calendar, Slack, and other communication platforms
- Creative engagement skills, with the ability to support the individual’s personal interests
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility to adjust to changing schedules and care needs
- High level of attention to detail and observation

You will be employed by the individual and their family, we offer a generous rate of pay, $45 per hour, plus superannuation and 5 weeks of paid leave (pro-rata).
