As part of the Sydney School of Veterinary Science which is ranked #1 in Australia, the University Veterinary Teaching Hospital Sydney (UVTHS) provides clinical learning experience for veterinary students with staff engaged in professional training programs through the provision of veterinary services to the public.

We are currently seeking a Business Support Coordinator to provide support for the use of a range of applications used in the Veterinary teaching hospitals and conduct long-term improvements to ensure efficiency with the evolving business requirements as required.

UVTHS is a combined referral and primary care small animal hospital with access to a range of specialist services, expertise, and equipment to offer excellent care to our patients. We benefit from a loyal clientele who always want the very best for their pets.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • analyse and report on business requirements stemming from incidents and staff requests
  • provide high quality customer service, resolving matters in an effective and timely manner
  • configure and run reports as requested by operational and senior executives
  • manage internal stakeholders at different levels (i.e. operational to senior executives) and external (vendor) relationships to ensure effective and efficient use of individual systems/applications
  • work with clinical staff to understand business needs and investigate solutions/process improvements
  • work with the ICT Lead Applications Support Specialist to configure and set applications to deliver to business needs
  • train new and continuing staff in the use of applications used in the Veterinary teaching hospitals
  • be responsible and accountable for keeping accurate and complete records and contribute to ICT and business knowledge management.

About you

Business Support Coordinator who has:

  • tertiary qualifications in Information Technology or extensive experience working with software and business solutions
  • demonstrated skills/experience in the support of business application
  • demonstrated writing and communication skills, to communicate effectively with ICT staff and non-ICT business stakeholders
  • ability to work on multiple projects and activities according to agreed schedules, timelines, and deliverables with minimal supervision
  • highly developed computer skills.
  • demonstrated initiative, judgement and proactive problem solving and decision-making skills
  • demonstrated ability to network and engage a variety of stakeholder groups
  • strong time and workload management skills excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

Desirable Technical skills

  • technical skills with Veterinary Patient Management Systems like RX Works and in clinic systems like Cubex, SmartFlow etc
