About the opportunity
As the Executive Assistant, you will provide the full suite of professional executive support services in a timely and effective manner, ensuring the specific needs and day to day requirements of the Director of Sydney Policy Lab are managed in a highly efficient and effective manner. As the first point of contact for the Director, this role requires client service skills, tact, and diplomacy as well as extensive administrative and organisational skills to manage a high volume of activity. Utilising your experience providing executive support, you will manage and prioritise matters brought to the Sydney Policy Lab to support the Director in enabling policy influence and impact.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
- provide broad, high level professional executive support to the Director and effectively manages the general day to day Sydney Policy Lab operations and administration activity
- build and manage effective working rapport with key stakeholders and staff across the University and with external stakeholders
- provide Sydney Policy Lab-specific administration services and support
- manage the general day to day operations and administration activities for the Director of the Sydney Policy Lab
- ensure quality application of, and compliance with, University administration policies and procedures.
About you
- tertiary qualifications in business and/or relevant business administration experience
- ability to work both independently and as part of a team, taking initiative and exercising sound judgement in resolving matters that may arise as part of normal daily work
- excellent time and workload management skills with demonstrated ability to prioritise effectively, manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines and achieve required outcomes
- demonstrated ability to plan and deliver small projects and ensure deadlines are met
- previous experience working in the higher education/tertiary sector or at a complex, multi-faceted organisation.
