About the role

We are seeking an experienced Cert III qualified Painter to join our team on full time basis in Byron Bay, NSW.

Guaranteed 4 months work for the right candidate with potential for ongoing.

Here at Purcell Painting & Decorating we will be painting some of the nicest homes in the Byron area and this requires the highest quality available.

As a Painter, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality painting and decorating services to our diverse range of clients. This is a hands-on role that requires a keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering exceptional results.

What you'll be doing

• Prepare surfaces for painting, including sanding, priming, and cleaning
• Apply paint, stains, and other finishes to a variety of surfaces, including walls, ceilings, trim, and furniture
• Ensure proper safety protocols are followed, including the use of personal protective equipment
• Work closely with clients to understand their vision and preferences, and provide recommendations as needed
• Maintain a clean and organised work environment
• Collaborate with other tradespeople, such as carpenters and electricians, as needed

What we're looking for

• Several years of experience as a Painter, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality work
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to follow specifications and instructions
• Strong knowledge of painting techniques, materials, and equipment
• Familiarity with safety protocols and the ability to work safely on job sites
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with clients and other tradespeople
• A valid driver's license and reliable transportation
