THE COMPANY

A major fabrication and construction company involved in some of Australia’s major infrastructure projects
They provide services including welding across design, fabrication and site installations for a variety of industries including construction, oil & gas, mining, rail, civil, processing and heavy industry.

THE ROLE & DAILY DUTIES

Working in a team and in a designated factory, you will be responsible for surface preparation and applying final coatings to fabricated products, ready for installation.
You will use various methods to clean, wash, strip and prime metal surfaces including sand blasting equipment, grinders and hand tools.
You will use brushes and rollers to paint fabricated product ensuring high-quality finishes and adherence to specifications

• Operate equipment to clean, wash, strip, sand and prepare fabricated metal products for the application of paint or other protective coatings
• Clean and maintain painting and coating equipment, as well as personal protective equipment
• Maintain and use sand blasting equipment
• Some manual handling

PAY RATE

$52 per hour if Trade Qualified
Pay is negotiable if you possess recent experience performing these duties in a long-term role
10-12 Hour Days on offer with Overtime rates

SELECTION CRITERIA

• Industrial painting and/or Sand Blasting experience is a MUST
• Painting & Decorating Trade Qualification is desirable
• Roller & brush experience is a MUST
• MUST hold a Construction Whitecard
• Must have full working rights in Australia
• Must be able to work effectively and at a good pace on your own and in a team and according to deadlines
• Must possess own PPE
• Ability to communicate in English
• Adherence to OHS procedures
