About the Company:
Established in 2014, Oberon Earthmoving is a high-quality, family-owned earth-moving and civil construction company. Winner of awards for our services such as the Excellence in Large Business presented by the Oberon Business and Tourism Association we’ve expanded every year and specialise in land clearing, detailed earthworks, drainage, septic projects, access roads and more, across the Oberon region. As well as civil and commercial construction services, we also own a quarry and a concrete plant and provide gravel and roadbase for local key infrastructure projects.
Yet none of this would be possible without our great people. People like our operator who started with us 10 years ago and is now supervises his own team or our office manager who has kept our frenetic office running smoothly for 10 years. We are a small nimble, team so everyone has an impact, and we have very little staff turnover. Our office is located in Oberon, a town steeped in history, spectacular surroundings, with close proximity to interesting local attractions such as the Jenolan Caves or the Rockley pub owned by MasterChef – Matt Moran. We play an active part in this thriving local community sponsoring events and groups, from the Oberon Rodeo, Rockley Rodeo, Oberon Tigers Rugby League and the Oberon School Rainbow Runners through to lending a helping hand during disaster events. Our long-term goal is to continue to expand, across a diverse range of entities.
About the Role:
We’re looking for an organised and proactive individual to join our team as an Administration Assistant. In this role, you’ll play a key part in keeping our office running smoothly by handling administrative tasks, assisting with accounts payable and data entry, and ensuring compliance requirements are met. You’ll be responsible for entering purchases, assisting with invoicing, coordinating vehicle registrations and inspections, and maintaining important safety and compliance records.
Your role will also involve supporting workplace safety by ensuring inductions, pre-starts, and safety meetings are completed and documented. Additionally, you’ll liaise with clients, contractors and suppliers helping to build and maintain strong professional relationships.
Beyond this, we’ll count on you for general office duties such as greeting clients, ordering supplies, and ensuring the workspace remains organised and professional. You’ll also assist team members and management with day-to-day tasks, helping to create an efficient and productive work environment.

Selection Criteria:
- Prior administration experience (2+ years preferred, but not essential).
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and problem-solve under time pressure.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks) is desirable but not required.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new systems and processes.
