About The Role:
Our client is seeking an energetic and strategic Grocery Account Manager with an analytical mindset to manage and grow relationships with Coles, Woolworths, Pet Circle, and Pet Barn. If you’re passionate about ‘better for you’ products across human and pet health and thrive in a fast-paced environment, this role will give you the opportunity to manage an exciting portfolio of brands while launching a pipeline of new and innovative products to drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and nurture existing retailer accounts while identifying opportunities for new business development and range expansions.
- Execute strategic plans to introduce new brands and products to the FMCG market.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to use market trends, insights, and sales data to develop outstanding range review presentations and proposals for retailers.
- Oversee daily account management tasks, from handling promotional uploads to providing analytical support and forecasting, while making data-driven decisions to inform growth strategies.
- Work closely with marketing, operations, and customer service teams to ensure smooth forecasting and availability of stock, seamless execution, and high visibility of our client’s brands.
- Keep your finger on the pulse of market developments, walk the supermarket floor, stay abreast of competitor activities and industry innovations to ensure our client’s brands remain standout in the market.
- Accurately forecast based on historical sales while working alongside retailer demands and keeping abreast of changes weekly to inform the client’s business.
Your Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience in account management or sales in FMCG, ideally within small to medium businesses.
- A deep understanding of the Australian grocery market, with a passion for the “better for you” and health space.
- Strong commercial and analytical acumen with the ability to make data-driven decisions, with key insights.
- Highly organised, efficient, and adaptable to manage a portfolio across multiple brands and retailers with a strong NPD pipeline, thriving in a fast-moving environment.
- A confident communicator with excellent written and verbal skills, able to build rapport, positively influence stakeholders, and engage buyers.
- Highly proficient in Excel and PowerPoint—able to create sales reports, analyse data, develop presentations, and manage range reviews with ease.

You are a motivated numbers person who’s obsessed with the grocery space and come with previous established relationships. You’re commercially savvy, analytical, and thrive in environments where you can both work independently and collaborate with dynamic teams. You have passion for innovation, health, and nutrition, and you love working with a team to bring new ideas to life in the FMCG world.
