We are looking for a motivated lighting consultant with a passion for design, and the ability to listen, absorb and deliver a client's vision from sales quote to handover. The position would suit a friendly, vibrant, and motivated team player, who enjoys providing quality customer service.

We are a local, family run business with a team of 8 located in Claremont.

About the Role

Based at our Claremont showroom you will support the Showroom Manager to achieve retail sales. You will receive comprehensive and ongoing training, working with an excellent product portfolio.

• Ensure customers are provided expert service in the showroom, on the phone or email
• Use our Inventory Management software to create quotes, place orders, create invoices, receive deposits.
• Using Point of Sale software
• Order stock from suppliers
• Liaise with customers regarding payments, lead times and delivery of goods
• Manage and process a project order from beginning to end including interpreting floorplans and generating project lighting schedules, specifications and quotes
• Support our Lighting Design team as required
• Assist with the upkeep of showroom
• Updating products on our website

• Key responsibilities:

The role is full-time. We operate 6 days per week, so you will be required to work from 10am – 2pm some Saturdays with time in lieu during the week.

About You

Experience:

• Lighting knowledge, design and architecture or relevant trade background
• Experience working with lighting products
• Knowledge of floor plans and schematics

• Sales experience (mandatory) - 2+ years previous sales or design experience, in a similar or associated industry
• Lighting experience

Skills:

• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills, and strong numeracy
• Effective presentation skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and general computer systems.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD or CAD programs preferable but not mandatory
• A current driver's license
