Slipstream Brewing Co is on the hunt for a Senior Sous Chef to join our passionate team in Yeerongpilly, Brisbane. If you thrive in a high-energy kitchen and love creating bold, flavorful dishes that pair perfectly with craft beer, this is the role for you!

Our 300-seat Bar & Kitchen is at the heart of our brewery, offering an immersive experience where guests can enjoy freshly brewed beer alongside a menu packed with smoked meats, pizzas, and modern Australian dishes. With indoor and outdoor dining, a kids' play area, and a dedicated in-house kitchen, we’ve built a space where great food and great beer come together.

As Senior Sous Chef, you’ll play a key leadership role, working alongside our Head Chef to drive quality, creativity, and efficiency in the kitchen. You’ll lead and mentor the team, and ensure we deliver an exceptional brewery dining experience.

What You’ll Do:

• Assist the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations, maintaining high food quality and presentation standards.
• Ensure compliance with WHS and food safety regulations.
• Foster a positive workplace culture, encouraging staff engagement and development.
• Support stock control, ordering, and menu development.
• Help execute events, delivering outstanding food experiences.
• Monitor wages and COGS in line with venue budgets.
• Lead by example, proactively addressing issues before they escalate.

About You:

• Certificate IV in Hospitality Management or Commercial Cookery (or equivalent).
• Proven experience in high-volume restaurants or venues, with a focus on exceptional food.
• Leadership experience and a track record of developing kitchen teams.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
• Enthusiastic, flexible, reliable, and passionate about food and teamwork.
• A problem-solver who uses challenges to improve processes.
• Available to work a rotating roster (Wednesday to Sunday), including opens and closes.

Salary: Up to $80,000 (dependent on experience) excluding superannuation.
