High Priestess is Australia's largest Witchcraft and Events company. Over the last four years, we've established ourselves as the “go-to” brand in the spiritual education and events space. Our mission is to bring women back to themselves via connection to the Goddess.
Witch School is the largest Witchcraft event in the Southern Hemisphere. Over 2 days (7-8th June), we bring together 250 students with 30 teachers at Hawthorn Arts Centre in Melbourne. Our students have the opportunity to put together their own timetables from a range of 90 minute classes over 8 hours each day.
Simultaneously and in the same buidling, we run the Witch Market - with 35 vendors and 1,000+ attendees each day.
We are a fully remote company - tried offices, hate them - but we do require someone in either the Melbourne or the Geelong regions who can participate in on-sites and co-working days in the lead up to the event (both in Melbourne and Geelong).
Wich School is a realtively complex logistical undertaking - there are a lot of moving pieces. This role would suit someone who has experience with festivals or larger scale corporate conferences. We run a very tight ship and demand a high level of excellence from ourselves and everyone in the team - don't think that because it's “witchcraft” it's kitsch and cute: we're creating world-class event experiences. We see Witch School as a temple - the work we do is sacred and of the highest possible level.
This is a 3-4 month contract (depending on when you can start! We'd love to have someone come on board immediately) - and we'd love someone who is happy to take it on every year. For the right person, this could also become an ongoing role - we run quite a few events and with the right support, we have the demand to run a LOT more.
What you'll be Doing
- Handling end-to-end event logistics and co-ordination. We have our venue locked in, so you'll be liasing directly with them.
- We have a staff member who is working with our market vendors - you'll work closely with them to ensure logistics are smooth across both events.
- You'll help us sort through speaking applications and then liaise directly with speakers, ensuring their teaching plans and strucutre are up to standard.
- Liasing with our tech team around our ticketing system
- Liasing with our admin team around event notifications
- You'll be the on-site contact for all logistics over the weekend.
- Other event-tasks as required
Requirements:
- Alignment with the High Priestess mission
- We're looking for someone who is comfortable taking a high-level of initative and who prides themselves on creating world-best events. We've had comments from people who've spoken at events for NASA that their events aren't as well organised and thought out as ours.
- Extensive experience handling events with a high level of complexity to their logistics
- Ability to work with a high level of autonomy and get things done
- I can't hit the initiative and autonomy hard enough, haha! We are a small team creating a large, complex and best-in-class event. As the CEO, I'm a straight shooter - I'll be direct about where we are and what needs to be done, and I appreciate the same in return.
