AJA Bookkeeping Services is a business that has been providing payroll and bookkeeping services to numerous clients, across varying industries, throughout Australia for over 15 years.
We deliver our services in house from our office (in Cairns), onsite and remotely.
We are a small team of professional bookkeepers that have worked together for 15+ years, mostly using Xero and MYOB software.
We are looking at growing our team with a highly skilled person interested in a long-term career in bookkeeping, to assist with our growing portfolio of clients.
As we are seeking a long term employee please do not apply if you are not in Cairns, not a resident or seeking to start your own bookkeeping business in the future. BAS Agents looking for additional work are not suitable. We require a person who is looking for a long-term position within our team and can hit the ground running. We are not offering a training position.
We require a person to work from our office - we are not offering a work from home position.
This position will suit a person who enjoys variety, challenges and is able to work in a fast paced environment.
This is a Full Time position and a flexible work place, we are also open to a Part Time position if this is more suitable.

Position Criteria
- Details of bookkeeping and payroll experience
- Demonstrate your ability to multitask and work for various clients
- Identify what you do in your daily life to maintain a happy disposition

In your application please demonstrate:
- A minimum of 5 years bookkeeping – you do not need to have formal qualifications to apply for our position – a common sense & team approach is far more conducive for this position than “formal qualifications”. Experience is a must, but pieces of paper are not.
- Advanced experience using xero or MYOB.
- Very efficient keyboard, computer, paper handling and filling skills.
- Ability to multitask and work for various clients at any given time.
- A relaxed can-do & solutions-based attitude.
- A happy disposition, friendly, patient and enjoy working as part of a team.
