We’re looking for our next energetic and experienced Senior Xero Bookkeeper to join our Perth based team in this remote position. If you are an experienced bookkeeper who wants to truly service and partner with your clients, who loves Xero and is looking for a part time position for the next stage of your career then this may well be the perfect role for you.

About this Exciting Role
In this role you will be responsible for a portfolio of clients that align to your experience and expertise.
Your extensive Xero expertise and tech understanding will mean that you can easily work with the various Xero add ons such as Dext, EmploymentHero, Deputy & Float. You’ll work across multiple software systems including Microsoft Office, Teams, FYI Docs and more.
Your daily role will include data entry, bank reconciliations, AR / AP and payroll for your portfolio plus you’ll prepare IAS & BAS working closely with our internal BAS agents.
You’ll take charge of client's AR and AP proactively following up outstanding debtors and supporting your client to thrive.
You’ll manage and process payroll drawing on your knowledge of the Fair Work Act and shifting into research mode to understand awards and EBAs as required.
Additional tasks that pop up include payroll tax, journal entries, detailed general ledger account reconciliations, cash flow forecasting along with ad hoc client visits and Zoom calls.
You’ll enjoy solving complex bookkeeping issues as they come up, showing your initiative to research solutions and draw on the knowledge of the team for support as required.
In addition to delivering all these impactful bookkeeping services you’ll also be a cheerleader, supporter and problem solver for your clients when ad-hoc challenges arise.
More about YOU
- You’re already an experienced bookkeeper with at least 5 years working with Xero and hold a diploma or similar qualification.
- You have an excellent understanding of the GST legislation and are confident to research and problem solve when something new comes your way.
- You have an extremely high attention to detail and you love to dive deep into periods of concentration, getting excited as you tick tasks off your list, reconcile an account or solve an anomaly you uncovered.
- You love tech and systems and always staying up to date with changes as you know that new updates can bring new efficiencies to both you and your client.
- You are experienced with spreadsheeting and proficient with excel or google sheets and you easily learn new add-ons or integrations with Xero.
- You are truly passionate about bookkeeping as your long-term career and you want to find a new role to work with for the long term offering a consistent service to your clients, ultimately supporting them to be as efficient, streamlined and as profitable as possible.
- If you are a BAS Agent - extra brownie points (& remuneration!!)
- You are looking for regular committed hours working from your home across 4-5 days per week and you want to join a truly supportive and knowledgeable team environment.
- You have a separate home office with an ergonomically sound work station to perform your work from home. We will conduct an assessment of your space prior to commencing.
- You have a suitable laptop (less than 3 years old), high speed internet access and mobile phone.
- YOU LIVE IN PERTH and can attend our Mount Pleasant office for training and regular team meetings. You also have the option to work from our newly fitted out, modern office as you please.
