About the role:

Duties:

• Completing all work assignments in a timely and efficient manner
• Data entry, including batch payments
• Payroll, including setup, payruns, EOY payment summaries and reading/understanding awards and enterprise agreements
• Bank reconciliation account analysis
• Specified Account Reconciliations & Balance Sheet Reconciliations
• Perform end-of-period tasks, including manual journal entries and preparation of work papers
• Process entries for assets, including hire purchase and associated repayments
• Business Activity Statements Instalment Activity Statements
• SGC Superannuation Forms
• Work Cover
• ATO Reviews/ Audits
• Any other tasks as necessary to assist the client, excluding HR & Taxation advice

Skills and Experience:

• A strong work ethic and attention to detail
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
•An ability to work under the pressure of ATO and client deadlines
• An ability to collaborate well within our team with minimal supervision
• Knowledge of basic income tax and GST concepts
• Have 5 years of bookkeeping experience
