About the Company

The construction arm of a nationally recognised retail organisation is seeking an experienced and hands-on Handyman to join our Western Australia-based team. This division manages ongoing maintenance, upgrades, and fit-out projects across the company’s retail network.

ABN Engagement: Up to $55 per hour + GST (Depending on experience)

About the Role

This is a hands-on and varied role ideal for a jack-of-all-trades with a strong practical mindset. The Handyman will carry out day-to-day maintenance, repairs, and light construction or fit-out tasks across multiple retail and warehouse sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Undertake general maintenance, repairs, and upkeep across retail and warehouse sites
• Carry out basic carpentry, painting, plastering, welding, and minor plumbing or electrical tasks (where licensed)
• Assist with new store fit-outs, refurbishments, and layout modifications
• Install shelves, fixtures, and signage as required
• Coordinate and oversee subcontractors on smaller projects
• Maintain tools, vehicles, and ensure work areas meet safety and quality standards
• Provide practical onsite solutions and communicate effectively with internal teams
• Travel across multiple retail and warehouse sites throughout WA as required

Skills and Experience

• Proven experience as a Handyman, Maintenance Technician, or similar role
• Broad trade knowledge (carpentry, painting, welding, roofing, tiling, or general repairs)
• Strong practical skills and ability to complete varied hands-on tasks
• Physically fit, reliable, and able to work independently
• Valid driver’s licence and own reliable transport essential
• Trade qualification (carpentry, joinery, or general maintenance) desirable
• Sound problem-solving ability and attention to detail
