Position Overview

FairWind is seeking expression of interest from all levels of technicians to join our growing team across Australia with multiple projects in different regions in Australia. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for preparing and installing wind turbine components, ensuring quality standards are upheld, and maintaining a strong focus on safety. You will collaborate closely with the installation team and site management, contributing to the successful delivery of renewable energy projects.

The ability to read, interpret, and understand work instructions is essential, ensuring efficient and accurate execution of tasks.

Key Responsibilities

Plan, prepare, and execute the lifting and installation of wind turbine components, including blades and towers.

Ensure all tasks comply with safety protocols and quality standards.

Accurately read, interpret, and follow work instructions and project documentation.

Complete necessary documentation to support quality assurance and compliance.

Communicate effectively with the installation team and management to coordinate work activities.

Adapt to changing project needs and demonstrate flexibility in handling diverse tasks.

Qualifications and Experience:

To be successful in this role, you must meet the following requirements:

Current High-Risk Work License

Construction White Card

Current and Valid Driver’s License

The ability to pass pre-employment medical

Desirable Qualifications:

APS experience

Valid Global Wind Organization (GWO) Basic Safety Training (BST) certification

Intermediate/Advanced Rigging Ticket

HR License

Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the wind energy industry

Elevated Work Platform (EWP) ticket

Proven experience in rigging, lifting, and installation of wind turbine components, including blades

The ability to read, interpret, and understand work instructions and documentation

Vestas Enventus or C&D certification

Familiarity with Vestas or other major wind turbine systems
