The role

The Corporate Affairs Advisor supports Gippsland Water’s reputation, stakeholder relationships and community trust by contributing to high-quality public relations, issues management, media relations and corporate communication activities.

The role helps ensure Gippsland Water communicates clearly and effectively with customers, community, media, government and internal stakeholders, particularly in relation to key initiatives, organisational priorities, emergency response and matters that may affect public confidence.

What you’ll bring

Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field.

Media relations experience – either as a journalist, public relations, or media advisor.

An understanding of public affairs and issue management concepts.

Skills in supporting the negotiation, facilitation and influencing of strategic outcomes.

Ability to write and edit with attention to detail.

Highly developed written, oral and presentation communication skills.
