About the role

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Storeman/Forklift Operator to join our client's warehouse team in Edwardstown. This is a casual position that offers flexibility whilst maintaining the operational efficiency of our distribution facility. In this role, you will be responsible for the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods, ensuring the warehouse operates smoothly and safely. You will play a key part in maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting the overall logistics operation.

Key responsibilities

Operating forklifts to move, stack, and store goods safely within the warehouse

Receiving and checking incoming shipments for accuracy and damage

Organising and maintaining inventory in designated storage areas

Picking and packing orders for dispatch

Maintaining accurate records of stock movements and warehouse transactions

Conducting regular inspections of warehouse equipment and reporting maintenance needs

Adhering to health and safety protocols and best practices at all times

Assisting with stock takes and inventory counts

Keeping the warehouse clean, tidy, and well-organised

What we're looking for

Valid forklift licence

Proven experience as a Storeman or Forklift Operator in a warehouse or distribution environment

Strong understanding of warehouse health and safety procedures

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Physical fitness and ability to perform manual handling tasks

Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills

Basic computer literacy for inventory management systems

Reliability and commitment to punctuality

A positive attitude and willingness to learn
