Odd Culture Group is a leading Sydney hospitality group with bars, restaurants, and live-music venues known for strong culture, standout service, and memorable guest experiences.

We are seeking a Event Manager to drive new business, increase event revenue, and build strategic partnerships across the group.

This is a proactive sales-focused role, ideal for someone with hospitality or events experience who thrives on relationship building, lead generation, and converting enquiries into revenue.

About the Role

Reporting to the Executive Office Manager – Events & Special Projects, this head office role is responsible for identifying new sales opportunities, managing the sales pipeline, and growing group-wide revenue across functions, venue hire, corporate events, and brand partnerships.

You’ll work closely with venue General Managers, marketing, and operations to ensure strong conversion and seamless event delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Drive new business through proactive sales, outreach, and relationship development

Secure corporate events, group bookings, venue hire, and brand partnerships

Build and manage a structured sales pipeline and CRM

Convert enquiries through proposals, quotes, site inspections, and follow-up

Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets

Use SevenRooms to optimise capacity and identify sales opportunities

Manage reservations and event workflows across multiple venues

Collaborate with venue teams to ensure smooth handover and high-quality execution

Represent Odd Culture Group at networking and industry events

Skills & Experience

Minimum 3 years’ experience in restaurants, reservations and events

Proven success achieving sales and revenue targets

Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills

Highly organised with strong attention to detail

Confident working across multiple venues and stakeholders
