Duties & Responsibilities

Manage the patients as instructed by the Registered Therapist and report on regular intervals.

To provide therapeutic intervention as specified in exercise prescriptions sheets.

Provide ambulation to ambulatory patients.

May maintain records of services performed and of the apparent condition of the client.

Perform basic care functions such as area cleaning, laundry, bathing, transferring, oral feeding, changing diapers, and patient escorting.

Assist in transferring residents who may have problems with mobility using appropriate transfer and ‘lifting’ techniques, helping Clients.

Provide general observation support to nursing staff, so as to inform them about any patient abnormalities such as overall outlook, skin condition, and discrepancies in behavior.

Ensure adherence to safe work practices and the policy, philosophy, and procedures set out within the nursing home facility.

Requirements

PSLE/N Levels with WSQ Certificate in Community Care.

At least 1 year experience will be advantageous but entry level may apply

Knowledge in CPR will be advantageous.

Good team player who is able to work well independently.

Be prepared to perform other duties as assigned.
