About the role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Building Supervisor to join CAPE TO CAPE BUILDERS on a full-time basis in Busselton, WA 6280. This is a strategic leadership position within our construction operations, where you will play a crucial role in overseeing daily site activities, managing teams, and ensuring projects are completed safely, on time and within budget. As Supervisor, you will be instrumental in maintaining our high standards of workmanship and safety across all construction sites.
Key responsibilities
Oversee and manage construction site activities, ensuring work is carried out in accordance with project specifications and timelines
Supervise and coordinate construction teams, including tradespeople and general labourers, to ensure efficient workflow and productivity
Conduct daily toolbox meetings and safety briefings to maintain compliance with health and safety regulations
Monitor site conditions and equipment to ensure a safe working environment for all personnel
Inspect work quality and ensure adherence to building codes, standards and contractual requirements
Manage site documentation, including timesheets, daily reports and progress records
Liaise between site teams, management and clients to communicate project progress and address concerns
Coordinate material and equipment deliveries and manage site logistics
Identify and resolve site issues promptly to minimise delays and maintain productivity
Maintain accurate records of accidents, incidents and near-misses
What we're looking for
Proven experience working as a Supervisor or Foreperson in the construction industry, ideally within residential or commercial building projects
Strong knowledge of construction practices, building codes, and health and safety regulations applicable in Western Australia
Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate and manage teams effectively in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with site staff, management and external stakeholders
Sound understanding of project management, including scheduling, budgeting and resource allocation
Competency in reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications
Current White Card (Construction Induction Card) or willingness to obtain one
Current Driver's Licence
First Aid qualification or willingness to obtain one
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
Ability to work independently and make sound decisions on site
Commitment to maintaining a safe workplace culture and promoting best practice safety standards
Experience with construction management software or site administration systems is desirable
