Warehouse Operator / Courier - DHL Canberra

Hours: 4-8 hours per day, with the potential for consistent hours

About the Opportunity

DHL Canberra is looking for reliable and motivated Warehouse Operators / Courier & Delivery Drivers to join their team. This is an opportunity to get your foot in the door with a well-established logistics operation, with successful candidates trained across various duties to provide backfill support over the coming months while internal recruitment stabilises.

There is also potential for ongoing employment or permanent conversion for the right candidates as opportunities become available.

Available Shifts

• Early shift: 6:00am - 2:30pm
• Day shift: 9:00am - 5:30pm
• Monday to Friday
• Expected hours of approximately 4-8 hours per day, depending on operational requirements

Key Responsibilities

The role will involve a combination of:

• Warehouse operations, including loading and unloading freight
• Sorting, scanning and handling consignments
• Courier and delivery duties
• Driving company vehicles and completing deliveries safely and efficiently
• Completing delivery documentation and paperwork
• Basic clerical and administrative duties
• Data entry and updating shipment information
• Providing general support to the warehouse and transport teams
• Following DHL's safety, security and operational procedures

About You

We are looking for candidates who are:

• Reliable, punctual and committed to Monday-Friday work
• Physically capable of undertaking warehouse and freight-handling duties
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced logistics environment
• Customer-focused and professional when completing deliveries
• Comfortable with basic computer and clerical tasks
• Flexible and willing to learn different aspects of the operation
• Able to work independently as well as part of a team

Essential Requirements

• Current MR (Medium Rigid) driver's licence

Desirable

• Current Forklift Licence (LF) - desirable but not essential
• Previous experience in courier, delivery driving, warehousing, freight or logistics will be highly regarded
