We have partnered with a well established Australian manufacturing business to recruit a Manufacturing Technician for an initial 6-week temporary assignment, with the possibility of extension.

This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys hands on work, has experience in a workshop or manufacturing environment, and takes pride in producing high-quality work safely and efficiently.

The Opportunity

Working as part of a close-knit production team, you'll support a range of manufacturing activities, including machining preparation, quality inspection, workshop operations and general production support.

This is a practical, physically active role where attention to detail, safety awareness and a strong work ethic are highly valued.

Hours: 8:00am – 4:00pm (flexibility available)
Pay Rate: $38.50 - $40 per hour + Super
Duration: Initial 6 week contract with potential for extension

Key Responsibilities

Read and interpret engineering drawings

Deburr, mark, drill and tap CNC-machined components

Carry out quality checks to ensure products meet required specifications

Maintain quality standards throughout the production process

Report maintenance or equipment issues as required

Follow workplace health and safety procedures at all times

Maintain a clean and organised workshop environment

Work collaboratively with production and workshop personnel

Perform manual handling duties and general workshop tasks as required

About You

We're looking for candidates who can demonstrate:

Experience working within a manufacturing, engineering or workshop environment

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

Strong attention to detail and quality standards

A proactive, team-focused attitude

Good communication skills and a willingness to learn

Commitment to workplace health and safety

Physical capability to undertake manual handling tasks when required

Highly Regarded

CNC machine operation or setup experience

Experience measuring and laying out materials

Exposure to aluminium component manufacturing

Use of precision measuring equipment

Experience checking finished components against engineering drawings

Forklift licence or forklift awareness

Mechanical or technical trade background
