We have an opportunity available for a capable and experienced plant operator to work with a road construction team. Applicants will also need to hold an HR diver licence with recent truck driving experience.

The work is based at Hay. Local applicants are preferred, however accommodation arrangements may be possible for suitably skilled operators located out of area.

Plant being operated will vary and includes rollers, loaders and watercart. An understanding of construction earthworks is required.

In addition to plant operating duties, you must also be willing to undertake manual labouring tasks as required to assist the team in completing required work functions.

You will be working full time hours of work (8.5 hours/day - 76 hours over a 9 day fortnight) for an initial engagement period of approximately 2 months until end of October with potential of further work being available for good quality workers. An attractive hourly pay rate is being offered, including overtime penalty rates and allowances for additional hours of work.

An immediate start of work is available.

Successful Applicants will need;

Plant Operating experience in a construction earth works environment - rollers, loader etc

current WHS White Card - essential

Unrestricted Australian driver licence - HR truck licence or above preferred

Traffic control ticket/s - or willingness to obtain within first 2 months of employment

Worker On Foot card - or willingness to obtain (online link able to be provided for successful applicant)

good all round fitness for manual work tasks

previous experience with road construction or civil earthworks will be highly regarded

Applicants will need to be fit for physically demanding work, and be a genuine team player.
