About Us

Based in Bayswater this glass processor specialises in supplying high-quality architectural glass products to the residential housing and commercial building industry.

Your duties will be to set up, operate, and maintain CNC machines to produce a variety of glass products. You’ll be proficient in reading technical drawings, performing quality checks, and ensuring efficient, safe production with a focus on meeting production requirements.

Night shift operating hours are 10pm – 6am Monday to Friday with a permanent pay rate of $40.30 per hour - $46.80 per hour depending on experience.

Tasks & Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machines to cut, shape, and finish glass products
• Interpret technical drawings, specifications, and job instructions accurately
• Input and adjust CNC programs to ensure precise machining outcomes
• Load and secure glass materials onto the machine bed safely
• Monitor machine operations and make adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency
• Inspect finished glass products for accuracy, defects, and quality standards
• Perform routine machine maintenance, cleaning, and tool changes as required
• Troubleshoot minor faults and report major issues to supervisors
• Maintain accurate production records and complete job documentation

Experience & Qualifications

• Operating CNC machines within the manufacturing or processing industry
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, CAD files, and specifications for glass products
• Knowledge of CNC programming and machine setup (e.g. tooling changes, offsets, calibration)
• Understanding of quality control standards and precision measurement tools
• Experience working with tight tolerances and high-specification products
• Ability to perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting on CNC equipment
• Good attention to detail and problem-solving skills with routing / milling experience
• Ability to work independently and as part of a production team in a fast-paced environment

Ideally, you’ll come from relevant industries of Glass Manufacturing & Processing, Metal Fabrication & Engineering, Automotive Manufacturing & Components, Aerospace & Aviation, Construction Materials (e.g. aluminium, steel, stone) , Furniture & Cabinet Making (wood CNC machining), Plastics & Polymer Manufacturing, Electronics & Precision Components, Medical Device Manufacturing, Defence & Industrial Equipment, Marine & Boat Building, Signage & Shopfitting (acrylic, composites, panels)
