Responsibilities:

Lead and oversee BMS / Building Automation System works from design coordination, installation, testing and commissioning to handover.

Manage BMS works for a major MRT infrastructure project, ensuring compliance with specifications, quality and project schedules.

Review and coordinate BMS drawings, control schematics, points schedules, system architecture and technical submissions.

Coordinate BMS integration with ACMV, Fire Protection System (FPS), electrical, ELV and ISCS systems.

Liaise with consultants, clients, contractors, subcontractors and vendors on system integration and technical matters.

Monitor project progress, manpower, materials, installation and testing & commissioning activities.

Supervise subcontractors and vendors to ensure works meet approved drawings, safety and quality requirements.

Identify and resolve technical issues, coordination clashes and site constraints.

Oversee shop drawings, material submissions, testing records, commissioning documents and as-built drawings.

Lead system testing, commissioning, troubleshooting and client demonstrations.

Support procurement, cost control, variation works and progress claims where required.

Provide technical guidance to engineers and project team members.

Ensure compliance with project safety requirements and relevant industry standards.

Work with the project team to ensure timely completion and successful system handover.

Provide occasional weekend support when required; no regular standby duty.

Requirements:

Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, Controls Engineering or a related discipline.

Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in BMS, BAS or building automation controls, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity.

Strong hands-on knowledge of BMS architecture, DDC controllers, control logic, sensors, actuators, field devices and system integration.

Good understanding of BMS integration with ACMV and other M&E building services.

Familiarity with communication protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, LonWorks, KNX or equivalent.

Experience in large-scale commercial, infrastructure, MRT, industrial, healthcare or institutional projects will be an advantage.

Able to read and interpret BMS control drawings, schematics, points schedules, specifications and system architecture diagrams.
