Key Responsibilities
Supervise the day-to-day activities of the Customer Service and Buying team.
Ensure purchasing, sourcing, purchase order processing and supplier communications are completed in accordance with company policies and contractual requirements.
Monitor buying activities and identify opportunities to improve service levels, operational efficiency and working capital performance.
Review and allocate incoming orders, providing sourcing guidance and support where required.
Manage order fulfilment, pricing, expediting and supplier performance.
Resolve customer and supplier invoice, credit and order-related issues promptly.
Monitor operational KPIs, program performance and margin analysis, and implement improvement initiatives.
Participate in customer business reviews and performance meetings.
Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders to support operational excellence.
Support customer audits, compliance requirements and continuous process improvements.
Collaborate with Program Managers, Sales, Warehouse and other cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.
Supervise, coach and develop team members through training, performance management and regular feedback.
Manage team scheduling, leave planning and contribute to recruitment and performance evaluations.
Ensure compliance with company policies, SOPs, SOX controls and ISO quality requirements.
Promote a culture of customer focus, teamwork, integrity and continuous improvement.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics or a related discipline.
Minimum 2-3 years of experience in Customer Service, Purchasing or Supply Chain Operations.
At least 1 year of supervisory or team lead experience.
Experience in MRO, indirect procurement or industrial distribution is an advantage.
Knowledge of purchasing, inventory management and order fulfilment processes.
Experience using ERP systems (SAP, Oracle or equivalent).
Strong analytical, problem-solving and negotiation skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
