The Role

An excellent opportunity to add value to the Finance team and the broader organisation. The Asset Management Specialist will develop, coordinate and promote Fire rescue Victoria's Asset Management functions. This includes compliance governance, whole-of-life planning, condition assessment, data management, end of life evaluation and decommissioning planning, in line with the Victorian Government Asset Management Framework (AMAF) legislation.

Functional Accountabilities:

Implement asset management compliance improvement activities in process and performance to support safe, compliant and operationally ready asset portfolios

Assist with the development and approval of key asset management system documentation, including policies, strategies, performance and utilisation reviews

Develop and maintain asset management plans and any related asset management documents for all FRV asset classes in consultation with all relevant stakeholders and Directorate subject matter experts

Develop, manage and maintain asset data custodianship across standards and processes for all FRV asset classes including asset condition, maintenance, performance and service level standards data input into asset management systems

The Team

The Corporate Services Directorate provides advice, planning and support in the areas of Finance, Information Technology, Fleet, Property and Records Management. In addition, the directorate also provides oversight of the FRV commercial arm, Fire and Equipment Services (FES). The directorate is a key enabler for the operational and corporate units of the business to deliver on organisational objectives.

What you will need to Succeed

To be successful in this position, you will have:

Relevant qualification in information technology, engineering or a relevant discipline is desirable

Formal Asset Management qualification is desirable

Experience in asset management governance, compliance and maturity uplift aligned with Asset Management Accountability Framework and ISO 55001

Experience in gathering, analysing and recommending asset management standards, process flow, data needs and reporting requirements

Demonstrated experience in translating complex asset data into simple, usable, quality data input and management using IT systems

Experience in asset management related document development

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare high-quality reports and engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
